When the product was first launched, each syringe was individually wrapped in a soft plastic wrapper.
The EU team have since been able to show that the wrapper is not required for the effective transportation or use of this product and have subsequently removed plastic wrappers entirely from this product.
With hundreds of thousands of syringes produced each year, this represents a significant reduction in packaging and waste.
