One of Bimeda’s 5 sustainability pillars is community and we commit to ‘seeking opportunities to contribute to the wellbeing of people, animals and the environment in the communities where Bimeda operates.’

The Bimeda EU Exports team and the Bimeda Ireland team take this commitment very seriously and were pleased to travel to Trim in county Meath last week to visit the Leinster Horse & Pony Rescue centre (L.H.P.R.) and donate some much-appreciated wormers and other equine health products.

The L.H.P.R is a registered charity dedicated to the welfare of horses and ponies in Leinster. L.H.P.R rescue, rehabilitate and rehome equines that have been subject to abuse, neglect, abandonment and deprivation.

The L.H.P.R also carry out talks and presentations on responsible horse ownership and horse welfare to schools and colleges and they subsidise castration clinics and subsidise microchipping clinics to encourage responsible equine ownership.

As part of Bimeda’s commitment to contribute to the wellbeing animals in the communities where Bimeda operates, Bimeda was happy to have the opportunity to provide some much-needed equine health products, and to contribute in a small way to the inspirational work carried out by volunteers at the rescue centre.
